I finally finished editing photos from the Loch Hartwell Highland Games.. kind of, anyway here they are:

Of course, being the SCOTTISH games, there were big swords and knives ect. and i just couldn't help taking a few pictures (note: i counted all the sword pictures and it added up to ... thirty :)... )

Every single year there are these great mules that come out and i FINALLY got to take pictures of them this year! Aren't they AWESOME?!!

Okay so for those of you who don't know the Highland games are mostly just big guys throwing things as high or far as they can. This picture is of the high part. The idea is to get the hay bale thing over the bar, which is some impossibly high number of feet that i don't know, with just a pitch fork and his manly strength. The one below is a 'far' one. You can't see it in the photo, but the guy just let go of a huge mace like thing. Nothing better than watching a whole bunch of guys in skirts throwing heavy things all over the place :)

It wouldn't be a Scottish Festival without bagpipes and drums to bang on, now would it?

My absolute favorite thing about the highland games would have to be the birds. They bring the coolest birds ever to show off at these kinds of things. More pictures of these AWESOME owls to be shown soon.

Ben 'n' Maddie!Another friend, Ian Little, was lurking around somewhere in these pictures, but i think i managed to thoroughly omit him ^.^

Another thing they do almost every year is the strange wooly cows, i think they're actually called scottish cows... >.> i know it's such a strange thing to have at a Scottish Festival, right? Lol, anyway, usually they have two but there was only one this year and Maddie went absolutely bonkers over it. She was so funny, sitting there barking her nose off at it while it just stood there and stared at her or ignored her completely.

They have some pretty out there pottery too, i bought a sweet little mug with a leaf imprinted on the side. It's offically my morning tea cup.

I told you they had awesome birds.

So, thats the end. In case you couldn't see for yourself, i got seriously lazy with these. I was really bored with editing them by the end >.<, Lol i think i already mentioned this by i started out with 300 photos and ended up with about 100. It was not very much fun, especially since i had to import them all into photoshop one by one from iPhoto, for some reason my bridge program has misplaced itself. One good thing has come out of this though, i've finally realized my seroius need for aperature (higher class mac photo editing program).
Anyway, i'm hungry now, so, i think i'm going to go find me some food.
nice pictures! that falcon is gorgeous...
ReplyDeleteget lightroom, not aperture. word from the wise. btw, have you been abducted by aliens?? where are you?
